A photograph is not finished until it is a print. Every print offered here is made by Richard himself, in his studio in Wānaka, as an archival pigment print on cotton rag — paper selected from one of Europe's oldest mills, with inks tested to last beyond a hundred years. Working the print personally, from exposure to finished object, is the final expression of the work.

The edition. Every photograph is printed in a limited edition of 45, with four Artist Proofs, consistent across the entire archive. Once an edition is complete, no further prints are made.

Provenance. Each print carries the edition number and a blind stamp on the front, in the bottom-left corner of the border. The reverse carries the studio stamp: title, year of photograph, year of print, edition number and Richard's signature. A signed Certificate of Authenticity accompanies every print.

The same price applies wherever the work is acquired. Prints are supplied unframed, rolled in archival tissue in an acid-free tube, couriered worldwide, signed-for and insured.
