Interview with Richard & Craig
Join photographers Richard Young and Craig Potton as they discuss the inspiration, craft, and vision behind their newly released Folio Box Sets, unveiled at the opening of their joint exhibition at the Craig Potton Gallery: 27th of November - 11th December 2025.
This unique exhibition brings together two very different approaches to photographing the New Zealand landscape. In an era dominated by digital portfolios, the Folio Box Set revives the near-lost art of owning a complete, tactile collection of fine art prints. Pioneered by legendary landscape photographers like Ansel Adams and Eliot Porter, these sets offer a way to experience a photographer’s work as a curated, collectible whole.

Richard’s Silence portfolio presents an alternative view of the New Zealand landscape. These minimalistic photographs invites viewers to listen to the landscape, allowing the silence to speak in space between objects and the voids surrounding them.
