/silence #2

Hokkaido, Japan (2025-2026)

I did not travel to Japan to discover silence; I came to deepen my understanding and experience its profound connection with nature. These photographs represent moments where every sound seems to dissolve, absorbed by the pure whiteness of winter. Snowflakes fill every void, and in doing so, define the spaces between each element. Silence emerges from the landscape as a beautiful presence rather than an absence.

Silence #2 (2025-2026) continues my earlier body of work Silence #1 (2020-2022) . This is an evolving collection that will grow as I return to Japan each year, immersing myself in the quiet intensity of winters here and the profound stillness I have found in this landscape.
